I met her in New York, at the corner of Prince and Mercer St. She and her male acquaintance were very stylishly dressed and also very kind when I asked to take a picture with her. She struck me because she is known to be one of the thinnest models in the business, and yet seemed healthy, happy, and naturally thin, which seems to me to kind of refute the “all models are anorexic” stereotype.
I met him at the airport in Sydney as he was checking in for his flight. He’s, of course, really really tall, but he’s also a really nice and down-to-earth guy, even after I walked up to him twice asking for both a picture and an autograph! I wish my brother, who’s a really huge fan of his, had been there :(
Well…I didn’t actually “meet” him slash I was too chicken to ask for an autograph, but I saw him in Hamburg in the Gaensemarkt area in front of the Starbucks (?) near the Aveda store and the photo shop….not surprising considering his agency, Mega Models Hamburg, is not far away from there. He was just about to talk to someone on his cell phone, and he was really tall and he had really striking features.
She was really enthusiastic and friendly, asking me if I’d been to the Kreshchatyk yet to support the protesters (I had). She was also really polished-looking, with her signature braid across her head…she’s awesome!
